On Thursday April 13, Dushanbe Mayor Rustam Emomali met with Uzbek and Russian ambassadors to discuss areas of mutual interest and cooperation.
According to the Dushanbe mayor’s office, Rustam Emomali and Uzbek Ambassador to Tajikistan Shokasim Shoislamov expressed interest in further expansion of cooperation in spheres being of mutual interest.
The sides reportedly noted that resumption of a regular flight between Dushanbe and Tashkent and the upcoming trade fair of Uzbekistan’s exports were an important step towards further expansion of bilateral cooperation.
Emomali and Shoislamov also discussed issues related to launching a joint plant on machine building and household goods in Dushanbe, the Dushanbe mayor’s office said.
Emomali’s meeting with Russian Ambassador to Tajikistan Igor Lyakin-Frolov reportedly focused on state and prospects of further expansion of cooperation between Dushanbe and the Russian Federation.
A special attention was paid to establishment of cooperation between Dushanbe and economic entities of the Russian Federation in various spheres and both parties stated their commitment to promote expansion of future cooperation in that area.
