President Emomali Rahmon, who is also Head of the Government, held a government session on November 29.
The Tajik president’s official website says that at the beginning of the meeting, Finance Minister Fayziddin Qahhorozda reported on the measures regarding the implementation of the RT Law “On the State Budget of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2024”.
It was emphasized that the main purpose of drafting the government’s decision is to specify the process of implementation of the state budget, effective and targeted use of budget funds, as well as to determine the obligations of ministries, state committees, agencies, heads of provinces, cities and districts, enterprises, institutions and organizations regardless of type of property to the implementation of the provisions of the law on the 2024 budget.
Then, the Director of the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan Jamshed Nurmahmadzoda reported on the program of statistical work for 2024.
It was noted that periodicity, the list of forms of statistical reports, summary statistical collections and sectoral statistical collections and bulletins, the period of performance of works within one year and the methods of collection, processing and preparation of materials are statistically determined in the government’s decree on the program of statistical work for 2024.
The meeting participants reportedly also discussed a number of draft laws, including those on amendments offered to the Code of Administrative Offenses and the Procedural Code of Administrative Offenses. The draft laws were submitted for consideration to the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament).
They also discussed the issues related to the National Program "Green Country" designed for 2023-2027, the National Program for the Development of Women's Entrepreneurship in Tajikistan the period up to 2027, and electricity and heat rates.
