Field work at LLC “Toj-Agro”
In the Hamadoni area, the President got acquainted with the field work of LLC “Toj-Agro”. He was presented with the possibilities of irrigation of orchards and vineyards created by the new method.
“With the creation of 2 new water treatment basins, the installation of 3 water pumping stations and the introduction of water filtration technology, it became possible to irrigate 50 hectares of land by drip method. Prevention of soil drying, better plant access to nutrition and other factors are the main advantages of drip irrigation.
This year, farmers of “Toj-Agro” have laid an intensively experimental apple orchard on 1.5 hectares, the vegetation in it is assessed as good,” - the press service of the president writes.
It is noted that, taking into account the needs of the food market, seedless grapes were planted on an area of 17 hectares in 2023-2024. If with the traditional method, up to 330 grape bushes could be placed on an area of 1 hectare, then using the new method, more than 1300 bushes are placed on 1 hectare.
15 seedless grape varieties were imported from abroad and planted here after acclimatization.
In addition, “Toj-Agro” has built 2 permanent greenhouses for growing crops, citrus fruits and tropical trees. Now the cultivation of seedlings of tropical trees has been established in an experimental form. By acclimatization to the natural conditions of Tajikistan, it is planned to increase the production of tropical fruits, including mangoes, bananas and avocados.
In total, the farm has 75 hectares of irrigated land, of which 22 hectares are orchards and 50 hectares are vineyards. To store the harvest of orchards and vineyards, LLC “Toj-Agro” has created a refrigerating room with a capacity of 1000 tons of products. There is also a honey processing plant on the territory of the village, the press service writes.
A water sump for dehkan farms
A drainage basin has been built in the Panj River basin, in the districts of Farkhor, Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadoni and Vose. Its goal is to improve the management of the irrigation system of dehkan farms. Emomali Rahmon launched its activities by pressing a button.
It is reported that the project was implemented at the initiative of the Government of Tajikistan in cooperation with development partners, including the Asian Development Bank. The contractor was OJSC “TGEM”. As part of the project, the construction of a reservoir has been completed, shore protection works have been carried out in the area, as well as the reconstruction of a water pumping station.
As part of the project, 2 automobile bridges were also built, a power transmission line with a length of more than 12 kilometers was stretched, and 2 transformers of 100 kilovolts were installed.
“From a geographical point of view, the Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadoni area is located below the flow level of the Panj River, so this area has repeatedly suffered damage from rains and floods. It should be noted that the Panj River is one of the muddy rivers of this region and a source of water supply for the Chubek canal.
Every year 700 thousand cubic meters of mixed rocks flow from the river into the canal, filling the irrigation canal with silt. Therefore, in July 2020, within the framework of the project “Water Resources Management in the Panj River basin”, the issue of eliminating possible natural threats to the population was raised,” - the press service said.
The highway between the villages of Faizabad and Tagnob
In Hamadoni, the President also opened a highway between Fayzabad and Tagnob. It is reported that its length is 14.5 kilometers. It connects the villages of Faizabad and Tagnobi, Dashtigulkho, Anjirkon, Safedob, Kodara and the villages of Safar Gado, Panjruda, the village of Bog of Kahramon village and the district town with each other.
The construction cost was 27.5 million somoni. The width of the road is 6 meters, the asphalt surface is 8 cm thick. The road was built as part of the events dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Independence of the republic.
It is also reported that dozens more kilometers of local roads are planned to be built and reconstructed in Hamadoni.
