The Tajik president’s official website reports that by president’s order Dushanbe International Airport CEO Ismatullo Abdullozoda and his deputies were dismissed following a financial audit that revealed serious deficiencies in their activities.
It is not yet known who will replace Abdullozoda.
As it had been reported earlier, by government’s regulation issued on January 26, 2016, Open Joint Stock Holding Company (OJSHC) Aviation Company of Tajikistan was split up into two separate entities – Open Joint Stock Company (OJSC) Tajik Air (Tajik national air carrier) and OJSC Dushanbe International Airport.
Khairullo Rahimov was appointed director-general of Tajik Air and Ismatullo Abdullozoda was appointed to head Dushanbe International Airport.
OJSC Dushanbe International Airport (IATA: DYU, ICAO: UTDD) is an international airport in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. It is the home base for Tajik Air (Tajikistan’s national air carrier) and the main hub for Somon Air (Tajikistan’s first privately-owned airline).
