DUSHANBE, January 29, 2011, Asia-Plus -- The Drug Control Agency (DCA) under the President of Tajikistan burned more than 122 kilograms of narcotics on January 29.
The drugs that were confiscated in the course of 2010-2011 were burnt in a special furnace of DCA. The drug burning took place in the presence of a commission comprising representatives from law enforcement and judicial bodies, the DCA pres service said.
Nearly 13 tons of narcotics have been destroyed since June 1999, when the Tajik counternarcotics agency was established.
