DUSHANBE, January 25, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Drug peddler has been detained with a large consignment of narcotics in Dushanbe.
The Interior Ministry spokesman Mahmadullo Asadulloyev says Dushanbe resident Mahmoud Qurbonov, 28, was detained yesterday on suspicion of having been involved in drug pushing. 18.52 kilograms of hashish and 1.866 kilograms of heroin were confiscated from him.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained drug peddler and an investigation is under way.
