DUSHANBE, April 23, 2011, Asia-Plus – Dushanbe police have shut down a drug den operating on the Saadi Sherozi Street.
According to the Interior Ministry, police officers arrested a 33-year-old I.R. on April 22 after receiving information that he turned his apartment into a drug den.
“Three drug addicts, including young woman, were detained along with the drug holder,” said the source. “Many used syringes and devices used for taking narcotics were found in the apartment.” The results of examination of syringes show that they were used for heroin injecting.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained drug den holder and an investigation is under way.
