DUSHANBE, April 29, 2011, Asia-Plus -- The next talks on delimitation of the Tajik-Kyrgyz border will be held next month in the northern Tajik city of Khujand, Radio Liberty’s Kyrgyz Service reports.
A spokesman for the governor of Kyrgyzstan''s southern Batken district told RFE/RL that Tajik and Kyrgyz officials will discuss steps to delimit the 970-kilometer long Kyrgyz-Tajik border, of which almost 650 kilometers are disputed.
More than 430 kilometers of the disputed border run between Batken and the Tajik district of Isfara. There are frequent disputes between residents of the two regions.
