DUSHANBE, January 8, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Student of one of universities located in Khujand was detained on suspicion of having been involved in drug pushing in a drug reversal operation, in which undercover police officer has posed as drug dealer, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
The source at a MoI says police officers have been tracking the student for two weeks and he was arrested on January 4 when he sold some one kilogram of hashish to undercover police officer for US$300 and 1,450 somoni. “In all, 1.8 kilograms of narcotics were confiscated from him,” the source added.
On January 6, the unemployed T.B., 31, was detained in Dushanbe for drug pushing. “810 grams of hemp were confiscated from him. Besides, police officers found some 3 kilograms of hemp in his apartment.”
