Tajik army recruitment campaign reached a 46.9% level.

Army recruitment campaign in Khatlon reached a 54% level, 42% in GBAO, 37% in Sughd, 46% in RRS and 30% in Dushanbe, Tajik Ministry of Defense reported.

The spring recruitment campaign started on April 1 and will last till May 31. According to Tajik Ministry of Defense, the campaign will recruit young people at the age from 18 to 27 years who have no right to delay or discharge.

Tajik army recruits from 15.000 to 16.000 young people every year. Officially, there are nearly 600.000 young people of enlistment age in the country, but nearly 150.000 of them have the right to delay or discharge, another 100.000 live and work outside the country.

Tajik army has three types of troops – mobile, land forces, anti-aircraft defense and AF.
