Veterans of the World War II from Kulob celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Council of Veterans.
Chairman of the Council of Veterans of War and Labor Asadullo Kurbonov told AP that a wreath-laying ceremony in honor of fallen soldiers and veterans was held ahead of the plenary session.
He said a total of 5608 veterans from Kulob took part in the World War II, but only 67 of them remain alive.
Kurbonov said veterans from Kulob fought as real soldiers and “three of them have become Heroes of the Soviet Union and one was awarded the Medal of Glory,” he said.
