Another attempt to traffic heroin to Russia prevented in the Dushanbe airport, Tajik Customs Service told AP.

According to the source, Tajik customs officers have arrested a 24-year-old S.G. in the course of customs inspection at the Dushanbe airport.

“In the course of the inspection customs officers have found a cellophane bag with powder similar to heroin. Later expertise showed that the bag contained 550 grams of heroin,” the source has said.

Criminal proceedings were launched, investigation is carried out by the republican transport prosecutor’s office.
