DUSHANBE, September 27, 2012, Asia-Plus -- The next meeting of the drug control chiefs from Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Russia is taking place at the Kokhi Vahdat State Complex in Dushanbe tomorrow, September 28.
Tajik Drug Control Agency (DCA)’s press center reports that Mr. Rustam Nazarov, Director of Tajikistan’s Drug Control Agency, Mr. Viktor Ivanov, Head of Russia’s Federal Drug Control Service (FSKN), Mr. Zarar Ahmad Moqbel, the Minister of Counter Narcotics of Afghanistan, and Mr. Javed Iqbal, Secretary – Narcotics Control Division, Government of Pakistan are expected to discuss the progress of implementation of anti-drug agreements that had been reached before, implementation of the so-called roadmap for countering spread of Afghan opiates.
The meeting is expected to result in signing of an appropriate protocol, the source said.
