DUSHANBE, January 25, 2013, Asia-Plus -- A special operation carried out by officers from the Interior Ministry’s office for Dushanbe on January 24 reportedly led to the seizure of a large amount of drugs.
Police officers found 14.7 kilograms of raw opium and 14 kilograms of hashish hidden in a heavy truck KAMAZ belonging to a resident of the Bobojonghafurov district, Sughd province, the Interior Ministry’s official website reports.
On the same day, four persons were arrested on suspicion of having been involved in that crime; an investigation is under way.
