DUSHANBE, May 15, 2013, Asia-Plus – Police officers have seized more than 50 kilograms of narcotics in southern Tajikistan, according to the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
An official source at MoI says an operation carried out by police officers in Kulob on May 14 led to the arrest of four alleged drug peddlers.
According to him, several packages of narcotic drug that tested positive to cannabis weighing 50.697 kilograms were confiscated from them.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained drug peddlers and an investigation is under way.
