DUSHANBE, March 19, 2014, Asia-Plus – On Wednesday March 19, U.S. Ambassador to Tajikistan Susan Elliott attended the handover ceremony for the new Tajikistan National Security Forces Communications Center at the Border Guards Communications Battalion.
According to the U.S. Embassy in Dushanbe, the $3.6 million facility was constructed with funds from the U.S. Embassy, through the USCENTCOM Counternarcotics Program, and will provide technical trainers on radio maintenance tactics, techniques, and procedures.
The Center was accepted by Border Guards Commander, Lieutenant-General Radjabali Rahmonali.
