DUSHANBE, July 18, 2014, Asia-Plus – The Interior Minister of Tajikistan, Lieutenant-General Ramazon Rahimzoda, has visited the Rasht district (eastern Tajikistan), where he has got acquainted with living and service conditions of policemen, firefighters and combat efficiency of a company of the special police unit deployed in the region.
According to the Interior Ministry press center, the minister was especially interested in the progress of solving problems related to living conditions of local policemen.
While in Rasht, the minister took part in ceremonies of an official opening of a number of living facilities built for police officers.
Speaking at the ceremonies, Rahimzoda reportedly pointed to the necessity of enhancing combat training of policemen, establishing cooperation with local population and improving work of district inspectors.
