Dushanbe police declared about strengthening the passport control in the Tajik capital as of beginning of August.
According to the press office of the capital police, passport control is being held in all the districts of the city in order to identify those living in the capital illegally.
So far, 124 violators of Article 469 of the Code of Administrative Offences (Residing without Registration) have been identified, and administrative protocols have been opened against them, according to the press office.
During the passport control in Dushanbe, 8 cases of unauthorized land occupation, a case of illegal possession of a hunting rifle, and a case of possession of a hand grenade and 12 bullets have been identified.
On the eve of the SCO Summit on 11-12 September in Dushanbe, the Tajik capital is being patrolled by reinforced police patrols.
