On the eve of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit, which will be held in Dushanbe on 11-12 September, the Dushanbe police will be carrying out an inspection of basements and attics of building, vacant lots, as well as of buildings under construction and the abandoned ones.
As reported by the Dushanbe police to Asia-Plus, law-enforcement officers have not been put on high alert ahead of the upcoming high level meeting and the country’s main holiday – Independence Day on 9 September. It was noted by the City police that the high alert period will begin as of the end of August.
From the beginning of August, the Dushanbe police declared about strengthening the passport control within the city of Dushanbe. Passport control is being held in all the City districts in order to identify persons living illegally in the capital. On the eve of the SCO Summit in Dushanbe, the night time police patrol has been strengthened in the capital.
