DUSHANBE, September 22, 2014, Asia-Plus -- More than 10 kilograms of narcotics were seized in two separate operations in Dushanbe on September 21, according to the Interior Ministry press center.
Three residents of Khatlon’s Farkhor district – Qurbonali Davlatov, 33, Mastona Boboyeva, 32, and Sherafgan Davlatov, 26 – were arrested in the operation that was carried out by officers from police station-1 in Dushanbe’s Sino district. More than six kilograms of hashish and raw opium were confiscated from them.
The operation, which was carried out on the same day by officers from police station-2 in Dushanbe’s Sino district, led to the arrest of Dushanbe resident Mirzomuddin Solehov, 55. More than four kilograms of raw opium were reportedly confiscated from him.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against alleged drug peddlers and an investigation is under way.
