DUSHANBE, October 7, 2014, Asia-Plus -- Officers from the Drug Control Agency (DCA)’s office in the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) seized more than 22 kilograms of hashish in an operation that was carried out near the village of Dasht in the Ishkashim district yesterday.
According to the DCA press center, a 20-year-old resident of the district was arrested on suspicion of being involved in drug trafficking. 45 packages of narcotic drug that tested positive to hashish weighing 22.19 kilograms were confiscated from him.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against alleged drug peddler and an investigation is under way, the source said.
