DUSHANBE, December 3, 2014, Asia-Plus -- Interior Minister Ramazon Rahimzoda today held a meeting in Khorog, the capital of the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) to review the results of work of the Interior Ministry’s office in Gorno Badakhshan.
According to the Interior Ministry’s website, the meeting focused on the issues related to crime among youth, drug addiction and HIV, fires and traffic violations in the area.
The minister reportedly drew attention of those present to increase in the number of unsolved crime in the region and the rise in suicide among local youth.
Rahimzoda urged the GBAO police department to intensify work on confiscation of illegally possessed weapons. He also ordered to intensify fight against poaching in Gorno Badakhshan, the source said.
