DUSHANBE, December 3, 2014, Asia-Plus – An operation carried out by officers from the State Committee for National Security (SCNS)’s office for the Gorno Badakhshan Autonomous Region (GBAO) near Khorog’s Nivodak area has reportedly led to the seizure of a large amount of drugs.
According to the SCNS public relations center, Afghan drug smuggler Gholam Husain waladi Amir Mohammad opened desultory fire after the security officers tried to detain him. The drug smuggler reportedly managed to return to Afghan territory.
More than 22 kilograms of various narcotics were found on the spot, the source said.
