DUSHANBE, January 28, 2015, Asia-Plus – Police officers has reportedly seized a large amount of heroin in the Shouroobod district, Khatlon province.

According to the Interior Ministry’s press website, 32-year-old resident of the Roudaki district, Amonullo Rajabov, was detained in near the border village of Sari Chashma of the Shouroobod district on suspicion of being involved in drug trafficking on January 27.

A package of narcotic drug that tested positive to heroin weighing 2.802 kilograms was confiscated from him.

Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the alleged drug trafficker and an investigation is under way, the source said.
