DUSHANBE, May 14, 2014, Asia-Plus – An operation carried out by officers from the Dushanbe police directorate in Dushanbe’s Sino district has reportedly led to the seizure of a large amount of heroin.
The Interior Ministry’s website reports that a 22-year-old resident of Dushanbe was detained on May 13 on suspicion of drug peddling.
When searching his Opel-Astra, police officers found a package of narcotic drug that tested positive to heroin weighing 3.940 kilograms.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the alleged drug peddler and an investigation is under way.
