DUSHABE, July 14, 2015, Asia-Plus –Tajik President Emomali Rahmon and visiting Indian Prime Minister Narendra Damodardas Modi on Monday visited military unit 07017 of the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan deployed in Khatlon province and the India-Tajikistan Friendship Hospital, which is located within the compound of that military unit, according to the Tajik president’s official website.
Set up by India, this 50-bed hospital was officially opened in early October last year.
73 medical workers from India will work at this hospital during two years. They will also train their Tajik colleagues in operating the state-of-the-art equipment at the hospital.
According to Indian media outlets, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also interacted with a few patients admitted in the hospital.
