DUSHANBE, August 7, 2015, Asia-Plus – Afghan national Javid Abdul Vakil has been detained with counterfeit somoni banknotes at the border crossing point (BCP) “Panji Poyon” in Khatlon province, according to the press center of the Customs Service under the Government of Tajikistan.
Ten counterfeit 100-somoni banknotes have reportedly been confiscated from him.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted and an investigation is under.
