DUSHANBE, January 28, 2016, Asia-Plus -- This month, Tajik border guards have seized 41.25 kilograms of narcotic drugs along Tajikistan’s borders with Afghanistan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, Muhammad Ulughzoda, a spokesman for the Border Guard Directorate at the State Committee for National Security (SCNS), told Asia-Plus Thursday morning.
According to him, a fire weapon and ammo were confiscated from drug smugglers.
“Over the report period, Tajik border guards have detained 104 violators of border regime and seized 32 tons of contraband cargo, including wheat flour, dried fruits and onions,” Ulughzoda said.
