DUSHANBE, July 11, 2016, Asia-Plus – Tajik Prosecutor-General Yusuf Rahmon has been on a working visit to Kyrgyzstan since July 10, according to the Tajik Prosecutor-General’s Office.
While in Bishkek, Rahmon will hold bilateral meeting with his Kyrgyz counterpart, Ms. Indira Joldoushbayeva to discuss issues related to further expansion of bilateral cooperation between the prosecutor-general’s offices of the two countries.
They are supposed to discuss cooperation in combating international terrorism and religious extremism, transnational organized crime, and drug trafficking, a source at the Tajik Prosecutor-General’s Office told Asia-Plus Monday afternoon.
We will recall that Kyrgyz Prosecutor-General Indira Joldoushbayeva heading a delegation of Kyrgyzstan’s Prosecutor’s Office was on a working visit to Tajikistan in late November last year.
The visit took place in the framework of an agreement between the Prosecutor-General’s Offices of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan on legal aid and cooperation that was signed in the Kazakh capital of Astana on August 27, 2015.
