DUSHANBE, August 19, 2016, Asia-Plus – A large consignment of spoiled pineapples and mangoes delivered to the country from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has been destroyed in Dushanbe, according to the Customs Service under the Government of Tajikistan.
More than five tons of spoiled pineapples and mangoes delivered to the country from UAE have reportedly been destroyed in one of dumps in the Roudaki district following the decision of the Agency for Standardization, Metrology, Certification and Trade Inspection (Tojikstandart).
The Customs Service press center says the destroyed pineapples and mangoes had been delivered to the country by trucks.
As it turned out during the customs clearing the commodity is unfit for consumption, the source said.
