368.271 kilograms of narcotic drugs were burnt in a special narcotic-burning incinerator of the Drug Control Agency (DCA) in Dushanbe on December 21, according to the DCA press service.
A totaled reportedly included 7.984 kilograms of heroin, 110.91 kilograms of raw opium, 111.425 kilograms hashish, 136.7 kilograms of cannabis, and 1,250 MDMA pills.
The drugs were confiscated by drug control officers, border guards and customs officers in the course of 2015-2016 and they were burnt in the presence of representatives of law enforcement and judicial bodies and local and foreign media, the source said.
More than 17.5 tons of narcotics have reportedly been burnt in the DCA incinerator since the Tajik counter narcotics agency was established, said Khoushnoud Rahmatulloyev, a spokesman for the counter narcotics agency.
