The exercises involved a battalion of soldiers and officers of the mobile forces of the Ministry of Defense of Tajikistan and soldiers and officers of a special company of the People's Liberation Army of China. Armored personnel carriers, tanks, artillery and aviation - all types of equipment were involved.

Exercises took place at a training ground in Ishkashim district of GBAO, which borders with Afghanistan. According to the scenario, military personnel liquidate conditional terrorists who infiltrated Tajikistan.
