Pakistan’s Dispatch News Desk (DND) says that according to Inter-Service Public Relations (ISPR) of Armed Forces of Pakistan, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan (JCSC) General Nadeem Raza, yesterday also had separate meetings with Colonel-General Sherali Mirzo, Defense Minister, Colonel-General Ramazon Rahimozoda, Minister of Internal Affairs, and Colonel-General Saymumin Yatimov, Chairman of the State Committee for National Security.
During the meetings, both sides deliberated upon various areas of mutual interest and bilateral cooperation including security, counter-terrorism and the prevailing regional environment particularly with reference to Afghanistan.
They also dilated upon measures to enhance the level and scope of military engagements between both countries and reaffirmed to continue to forge deeper ties.
Chairman JCSC said that Pakistan is keen to expand its existing bilateral military to military cooperation with Tajikistan. The dignitaries lauded the professionalism of Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their sacrifices in the fight against terrorism, according to DND.
Earlier, upon arrival at Ministry of Defense, Chairman JCSC was reportedly presented Guard of Honor by a contingent of Tajikistan’s Armed Forces.
