Presided over by President Emomali Rahmon, a meeting of the country’s Security Council was held on March 18.
The Tajik president’s official website says the meeting participants included members of the Security Council and heads of a number of government structures and relevant ministries and agencies.
Speaking at the meeting, President Emomali Rahmon, who is also the Chairman of the Security Council, reportedly gave specific instructions to the relevant officials to ensure national security and the rule of law, combat crime, especially transnational crimes and drug trafficking as well control public order and prevent fire and any other accidents.
