DUSHANBE, January 28, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Reports by many politicians, experts and economists noting that the global financial and economic crisis has allegedly ended are unfounded and do not correspondent to the facts, Shodi Shabdolov, leader of the Communist Party of Tajikistan (CPT), said in an interview with Asia-Plus.
According to him, the main reason for the ongoing crisis is monetarism – “the capitalist world has chosen the money-securities-money principle instead of the money-commodity-money principle, which is traditional for development of any society.”
“Worshiping money as a god and creation of financial pyramids have become the main reason for the crisis and I am sure that the crisis will last for another five or six years,” said Shabdolov, “At present just the second wave of the crisis has begun and only government control of economy throughout the world can put an end to the crisis.”
Leader of Tajik Communists noted that the Obama administration, like the Theodore Roosevelt administration during the Great Depression in the 1930s, had realized that only the government control of economy would help come out of the crisis and “for this, they are widely using the Soviet Union experience.”
“Is it possible to say that the crisis has ended when world’s car industry giants like General Motors, Opel, SAAB and the whole countries such as Greece, Romania, Bulgaria and former Baltic republics of the Soviet Union are declaring themselves bankrupt?”
