KULOB, January 27, 2011, Asia-Plus -- In 20110, the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) Tajikistan supported to construct water pipelines in six villages of Khatlon’s Shouroobod district, the Shouroobod chairman Amirkhon Ikromov told Asia-Plus today.
“A total length of the water supply network is 24.7 kilometers,” said Ikromov, “The longest water pipelines, 6 kilometers in length each, were constructed in the villages of Bobo Nosirov and Shahribarbar.”
All these water supply projects were implemented under support of the AKF field office in Shouroobod, the district chairman said, adding that local residents also actively participated in implementation of those projects.
