DUSHANBE, February 16, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Sixteen counties of the world provided more than US$2.6 million worth of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan last month, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
Over the report period, 46 tons of vegetable oil for US$116,000, medicines and medical equipment for US$416,000 as well as footwear and clothing, food products, electrical appliances and computers were delivered to the country.
Among the donor countries the greatest share in value came from Denmark – 37.7 percent, Russia – 23.4 percent, the United States – 16.8 percent, Germany – 9.8 percent and so forth.
