DUSHANBE, April 4, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Tajikistan Annual Education Fair, staged by the Tajik Branch of Open Society Institute/Assistance Foundation (OSI/AF-Tajikistan) in partnership with the Ministry of Education (MoE) of Tajikistan, took place in Dushanbe on April 2.
According to the OSI/AF-Tajikistan, the fair presented education programs of diplomatic missions, international organizations and some foreign universities. Representatives of these organizations provided visitors with promotional materials and gave innovative lectures on study and professional development opportunities within Tajikistan and overseas. Visitors were also given an opportunity to meet with alumni of different scholarship programs.
Taking place for the 10th time the education fair will also be held in Khujand (April 6), Kulob (April 13), Qurghon Teppa (April 14), and Khorog (April 27).
More then 3000 people reportedly participated at the Annual Educational Fair 2010.
The aim of the Tajikistan Annual Education Fair is to inform potential students about their opportunities to study abroad and at the same time to introduce market opportunities in Tajikistan to education providers, such as Universities, Colleges and Language Schools. It provides the opportunity for the promotion of quality education providers and the enrolment of students from Tajikistan.
