DUSHANBE, July 16, 2011, Asia-Plus -- 33 countries of the world have provided more than US$37.182 million worth of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan in January-June this year, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
Over the report period, 219 tons of vegetable oil for US$498,000, medicines and medical equipment for a total amount of US$25 million, US$1.387 million worth of footwear and clothing, as well as food products, electrical appliances and computers have been delivered to the country.
Among the donor countries the greatest share in value came from the United States – 63.8 percent, Russia – 10.4 percent, Denmark – 7.4 percent, the Netherlands – 2.9 percent, Germany – 2.9 percent, Korea – 2.1 percent, the United Arab Emirates – 1.9 percent, Kazakhstan – 1.3 percent, and Iran – 1.3 percent.
