DUSHANBE, July 19, 2011, Asia-Plus -- A festive demonstration of residents of Dushanbe will take place on September 9 on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence, Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s office said.
The festive demonstration will follow a military parade.
We will recall that more than 10,000 soldiers and officers from the Dushanbe Garrison of the Ministry of Defense, as well as Ministries of Interior and Justice, as well as the National Guards and the Border Guard Department of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) are expected to be on a military parade in the Tajik capital on September 9.
On the same day, a theatrical show will be held at the Republican Stadium Dushanbe and mass festivities will be held in all Dushanbe’s districts, the spokesman said.
