KULOB, July 29, 2011, Asia-Plus -- The fifth conference of cardiologists of Tajikistan, formally titled “Cardiology of Tajikistan in the 21st Century,” has opened in Kulob today.
Ravshan Poulodov, the director of the Kulob Cardiology Center, says the conference has brought together cardiologists from all regions of the country discuss not only achievement of cardiology in Tajikistan but also problems facing it.
According to him, they government pays serious attention to development of cardiology. All central hospitals across the country have cardiology unit with 10-15 beds each. All these cardiology units are provided with state-of-the-art equipment that has allowed improving diagnosing heart diseases.
“Our center has received modern equipment worth one million somoni this month,” Poulodov said.
