DUSHANBE, September 22, 2011, Asia-Plus -- More than 480 Tajik nationals are participating in construction of Olympic facilities in Sochi, Russian media outlets report with reference to Russia’s Federal Migration Service (FMS)’s office for Krasnodar Krai.

According to FMS, citizens of twenty countries around the world are involved in construction of Olympic facilities in Sochi.

Major part of labor migrants working in Sochi are citizens of Uzbekistan – more than 2,300 people.  Besides, 886 people from Ukraine, 593 people from Belarus, 546 people from Turkey, 541 people from Bosnia and Herzegovina, 511 people from Moldova, 317 people from Serbia and 187 people from Kyrgyzstan are now involved in construction of Olympic facilities in Sochi.

Foreigners now account for 13 percent of the overall number of workers participating in construction of the Olympic facilities in Sochi.  Of a total of 49,000 people involved in the construction work only 6,000 are guest workers.

The 2014 Winter Olympics is scheduled to be celebrated in Sochi with some events held in the resort town Krasnaya Polyana from February 7 to February 23 2014.

The Sochi Olympic Park will be built by the Black Sea coast in the Imeretin Valley.  15 modern sport venues and some hotels for 10,300 guests will be built.
