DUSHANBE, November 4, 2011, Asia-Plus -- The 5th international education fair kicked off in Dushanbe today.
Sixteen higher educational institutions from the United Kingdom, Turkey, Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as well as a number of Tajik universities are participating at a two-day fair that runs until November 6.
Speaking at inaugurating ceremony, the Ahmadsoz director general Abdurazzoq Abdulloyev expressed confidence that the fair would promote enhancement of the education sector in Tajikistan and training of skilled personnel.
The CCI deputy chairman Asanali Karamaliyev noted that the main objective of the fair was in promoting of training of specialists in the natural and exact sciences at foreign universities.
He stressed that Tajikistan was currently experiencing an acute shortage of technologists, architects, engineers, builders. “The future of Tajikistan depends on the level of education of our young generation,” Karamaliyev said.
He noted that such events had already been held in the country in cooperation with Ahmadsoz. “Every year, this company sends dozens of Tajik students abroad to study various disciplines at foreign higher educational institutions,” the CCI official added.
