DUSHANBE, December 14, 2011, Asia-Plus – The Archbishop of Tashkent and Central Asia Vikentiy has consecrated a bell turret that has been constructed at the chapel within compound of Russian military base in Dushanbe, Dmitry Matushkin, an assistant to the commander of the Russian military base in Tajikistan, said Wednesday afternoon.
According to him, seven bells with a total weight of more than 300 kilograms have been installed. The bells were cast by the bell masters from Russia’s Voronezh oblast.
“The base servicemen themselves will serve as bell-ringers,” Matushkin said.
