DUSHANBE, December 28, 2011, Asia-Plus -- The Dushanbe mayor’s office has organized New Year’s food and farm produce fairs at all city’s bazaars and the amusement park named after Sadirddin Ayni.
“The fairs opened today and they will run through December 31,” Shavkat Saidov, a spokesman for the Dushanbe mayor’s office, said.
According to him, the fairs offer beef at 27.00 somoni per one kilogram, lamb – 28.00 somoni per one kilogram, rice – 7.00 somoni per one kilogram, potatoes – 1.70 somoni per one kilogram, cabbages – 1.30 somoni per one kilogram, carrots – 1.00 some per one kilogram, and eggs – 65 diram (0.65 somoni) per one piece.
