KULOB, January 26, Asia-Plus -- As of January 1, 2012, electricity debts of eight districts in the Kulob region of Khatlon province amounted to more than 27 million somoni, Mirzo Ismoilov, the director of the Kulob regional power supply enterprise, announced at a news conference in Kulob on January 25.
The Kulob regional power supply enterprise operates the power supply network in the Kulob region, except the city of Kulob and the Danghara district.
The main debtors are residential customers and subdivisions of the Ministry of Land Reclamation and Water Resources (LRWR) operating in the area, Mirzo Ismoilov noted.
“Electricity debts of residential customers have reached 13,564,003 somoni by January 1, 2012, while the LRWR subdivisions now owe 13.1508 million somoni to the Kulob power supply enterprise,” the Kulob regional power supply enterprise director said.
