DUSHANBE, January 30, Asia-Plus -- A healthy boy has been born on a Tajik Air flight from Dushanbe to Moscow.
Passengers and crew of the fight from Moscow to Dushanbe were happy to make room for one extra one person on the morning of January 29 when a young woman from the Yovon district gave birth to a baby boy.
According to Tajik Air’s website, half an hour before landing the 26-year-old Nasiba Davlatova from the Yovon district went into labor, giving birth in Uzbekistan’s airspace. Fortunately there was a doctor among passengers, and with assistance of air hostesses she helped Nasiba with delivery of the baby.
The Tajik Air representatives say Tajik national air carrier as well as other airline companies, bans pregnant women from flying after the third trimester begins at six months. “Notwithstanding the strict rules, pregnant women conceal their real terms by providing false medical documents.”
This was the fourth time a baby was born on board a Tajik Air flight since 2007.
