The Dushanbe National Medical Center hosted a special campaign on the occasion of the Children’s Day. The campaign was carried out by the Lona charitable fund and Asia-Plus media holding company. The campaign, which was carried out in the Oncological Department, brought together nearly 100 children with oncologic diseases.
Lona charitable fund, which is supported by the President’s daughter, Deputy Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Ozoda Rahmonova, supports similar campaigns for the past three years, director of the Republican Cancer Center Zafar Huseinov told AP.
“It will not be enough to undergo medical treatment. Children should smile to become healthy and need to take part in celebrations and receive various gifts. Such positive aspects are very good for the entire treatment,” Huseinov has said.
The campaign included performances presented by Luhtak Tajik Children’s Puppet Theater, circus artists, singers Nozia Karomatullo and Mehrnigori Rustam. Children were handed gifts.
