Khujand is preparing to celebrate the International Children’s Day which is celebrated on June 1.

As reported by the Sughd Governor’s press service, “Children – invaluable wealth” celebrations will take place in Kamoli Khujandi park.

According to the source, at least 107.000 children from all parts of Sughd area will be attracted this year to recreational events.

“Related conditions for education and medical treatment were created for 1.254 children from 13 boarding schools, including four schools for children with physical and mental disorders, three orphanages for children from poor families, five boarding schools for children from poor families and one orphanage,” the source has said.

The source added that 25.600 talented children attend 56 lyceums and gymnasiums. 27.800 children attend 200 kindergartens.
