KHUJAND, August 11, 2012, Asia-Plus  -- The number of plastic card holders  in the northern Sughd province has increased 2.8 times as compared to the past year, an official source at the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT)’s office in Khujand said in an interview with Asia-Plus.

According to him, the number of plastic card holders in the area increased by 83,300 people in a year to July 1, 2012, reaching 128,700 people    

233 plastic servicing centers, including 74 automatic teller machines (ATM) and 64 point-of-sale (POS) terminals, now function in Sughd province.
